Each tool ships a Claude-powered mode for the calls that need taste, not just rules. Optional, key-gated, fail-soft — every tool runs fully without it.
Deal Radar — Claude (Sonnet) reads your matched deals and writes an analyst digest: what's worth acting on, what's noise, and why.
Free-Model Router — every free-tier answer judged side-by-side against Claude, so you see exactly what "free" costs in quality.
Trending-Repo Scout — Claude (Haiku) rates every rising repo REAL vs HYPE with reasons, before it reaches your digest.
No build step. No dependencies. Python 3.8+ and you're in.
Pick a tool and clone it. All three are public and MIT-licensed.
git clone https://github.com/curiousscan/deal-radar
Everything runs on the standard library — nothing to install.

We don't just write about AI; we build with it. Our pipeline uses large language models to synthesize thousands of data points into structured, actionable intelligence.
Using LLMs to parse technical documentation, release notes, and community signals to surface high-value developments.
Building internal and external tools that connect AI models to real-world tasks, reducing repetitive research work.
Transforming unstructured web data into clean, queryable formats for our users and internal radar systems.
Our product roadmap is aligned with the fastest-moving sectors in technology.
CuriousScan is an independent technology intelligence company founded in 2022 in India. We track artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and open-source tools — and we build and maintain the MIT-licensed developer tools our research runs on.
Yes. Deal Radar, Free-Model Router, and Trending-Repo Scout are all MIT-licensed open-source software. They run on Python's standard library with zero dependencies — no accounts, no subscriptions, no upsells.
Deal Radar and Trending-Repo Scout need no API key at all. Free-Model Router needs one free OpenRouter API key, which takes two minutes to create and requires no credit card. Each tool also has an optional Claude-powered feature (digest, benchmark, hype-filter) that needs an ANTHROPIC_API_KEY — everything else works without it.
ChatGPT answers from memory; our tools run deterministic pipelines on live data. Deal Radar polls real feeds on your schedule, Trending-Repo Scout queries the GitHub API daily, and Free-Model Router benchmarks free tiers against Claude itself — all inspectable Python you can read, fork, and run at zero cost, with no per-query meter running.

CuriousScan started in 2022 as a Telegram channel tracking artificial intelligence and emerging technology — built on the simple idea that builders deserve signal, not hype.
Launched the YouTube channel with step-by-step workflow breakdowns and honest tool reviews. The community grew to 2,600+ members on Telegram and 1,300+ subscribers on YouTube.
Launched curiousscan.in — a permanent home for our research, tools, and guides beyond the feeds.
Started publishing the MIT-licensed developer tools our research runs on: Deal Radar, Free-Model Router, and Trending-Repo Scout — free, zero-dependency, and maintained in public.
Automated and manual tracking of model releases, launches, and open-source projects.
LLM-assisted separation of practical developments from recycled marketing hype.
Human-in-the-loop checking of availability, access conditions, and pricing details.
Hands-on validation of workflows to capture real-world edge cases, friction, and limits.
Structuring the output into actionable guides, API-ready data, or radar entries.
Using community feedback and usage metrics to refine our AI prompts and product focus.
Real words from our YouTube subscribers and Telegram community. Unedited, unscripted.
“Finally, a channel that doesn’t just read the tech news headlines. The step-by-step workflow breakdowns actually save me hours of trial and error. The recent guide on open-source alternatives was exactly what my small team needed.”
“I’ve been following Curious Scan since the early days. The ‘Less noise, more signal’ approach is real. I don’t have time to test 50 new AI tools a week, so I just wait for your radar updates. If you cover it, I know it’s worth my time.”
“The Labs prototypes you shared last month gave me the exact automation concept I needed to finish my project. Love that you show the friction and limits of the tools, not just the hype. Keep it up.”
“That intelligence brief this morning was spot on. Caught the API pricing change before it hit the major tech blogs. This channel is basically my morning coffee at this point.”
“Appreciate the no-fluff updates. The shortlist of free-tier tools for image generation you dropped yesterday already replaced two paid subscriptions for my agency. Massive value.”
“Been lurking for a while, but had to say thanks for the recent radar update on autonomous agents. It’s the first time I’ve seen someone explain the shift from ‘answering questions’ to ‘completing work’ in a way that actually makes sense for practical use.”
“Your ‘Discover → Filter → Verify → Test’ flow is exactly how I wish more tech reviewers operated. The fact that you actually test the workflows and share the limits makes this community so much more trustworthy than the usual hype channels.”
